In Milford…Last month the attendees of the Veteran’s Roundatble of Milford were asked to bring in pictures of themselves during their enlistment. This month, through their partnership with Home Instead Senior Care, these veteran’s will have personalized stationary with their photos on it. “They’ll be asked to write a letter to two to a soldier currently deployed to Iraq serving with the 3rd Squadron, 7th U.S. Cavalry out of Fort Stewart, Georgia,” says U.S. Army Veteran Bert Copple, the moderator for the Oakland County Veteran’s Roundtable, and the Director of Community Relations for Home Instead Senior Care. “Letters mean so much to deployed soldiers. These veterans remember, and I remember from the time I spent in Iraq just two years ago. Nothing means more than a letter from someone at home.” For those veteran’s who did not bring in their photos, they can drop them off at the senior center before Wednesday, September 12, 2007 and their stationary will be ready at the next meeting, which is Monday, September 17, 2007 beginning at 12:00 p.m. Lunch is provided by Home Instead Senior Care for those who RSVP by calling 248-685-9008.
